NASFA is proud to announce the launch of a new E&O program for State Farm Agents!

Since 1973, the National Association of State Farm Agents' main goal has been to promote and support independent contractor State Farm Agents. After speaking with a number of our member agents, we have come to understand that there is a need for our agents to have access to an E&O Insurance Policy that actually covers State Farm agents in case of an E&O claim made against them. We have partnered with Novus Underwriters Inc. and Novus Risk Services Ltd. to create an E&O Program that delivers competitive rates for comprehensive coverage.

What Does it Cover?

  • Professional Liability
  • Breach of Contract
  • Intellectual Property Rights Infringement
  • Loss of Documents
  • Loss Mitigation
  • Payment of Withheld Fees
  • General Liability
  • Products Liability
  • Business Interruption
  • Employees working exclusively for Agent are also covered

Coverage Highlights

  • Bespoke Policy Wording
  • Limit Options of $500k / $1M / $2M +
  • 24-hour Turn Around for Quotes
  • Trusted Claim Adjusters
  • Ability to review and quote outside of risk appetite!

Important! We strongly suggest applying from a non-State Farm computer or tablet.

Fill out the application for a quote without obligation. You don't have to be a NASFA member to get your quote, but you must be a current NASFA member before the policy can be issued.

Then download the application here, complete it, save to your computer, and then email the completed application to , or fax to 949-891-0224. Be sure to include your name, company name, address, city, state, zip, telephone, and email address in the body of the email, or on your fax cover page, along with your request for a quote.

If you have already renewed your E&O Marsh Plan through State Farm, you can keep it in place while getting a quote for NASFA's group E&O policy, then cancel for a refund once your policy has been issued through Novus Underwriters.

Remember, before you renew, review! When it comes to E&O insurance coverage, you have a choice, thanks to NASFA.

The policy offered is very inexpensive because it does not offer much coverage. The policy offered allows State Farm to intrude in the operation of your business. Sometime ago several of our members began a relentless campaign to unearth the truth about the E&O policy offered by State Farm. What they uncovered was the existence of a "side letter" with the carrier. Basically that side letter allowed State Farm the right to examine and adjust all claims.

State Farm has recently sent you an Announcement Memo, FAQ's, a sample policy and a Membership Agreement with regard to their Errors and Omissions Insurance offering to Agency. We would not take it if it were offered for free. The policy offered is very cheap because it does not offer much coverage.

Agents Errors & Omissions (from Fall 2009, page 10, by Ron Lent) — If ever there was a time for insurance agents to get out and go looking for a better errors and omissions policy, this is the season. Agents across the 13 zones are experiencing either phone calls or meetings with their AFEs to explain this new program. NASFA has learned that American Home is not our E&O carrier. In fact, it is AIG. Apparently, AIG and State Farm have some kind of side agreement when it comes to Agents Commitment.
